3M Carbon Fibre Vinyl looks like the real thing but is less expensive and more versatile. It is simple to install and easy-to-clean with a modern, visually appealing design making the carbon fibre finish perfect for unique wrapping of interior or exterior car surfaces such as bonnets, boots, roofs, side view mirrors and interior plastic. It's not a printed carbon fibre pattern. The film has an embossed finish resembling true carbon fibre, which reflects light as expected and changes the highlights of the pattern depending on the viewing angle. Even up close it is very difficult to tell apart from real carbon fibre by look and touch. The photo above shows the 3M carbon fibre vinyl alongside a genuine carbon fibre Asus laptop. Aside from the laptop having a straight weave pattern and the vinyl a cross weave can you really tell any dfference? Key Features
Advantages
Rating 3M rate this vinyl at 12 years for indoor use and 5 years for outdoor use. Sizing We can supply A4 and A3 sheets as well as any length of vinyl you require. The only limitation is that the roll is 1220mm wide then you can have any length you need. It is possible to seamlessly join two sheets of vinyl together for areas that require a larger coverage. Comparison with other Carbon Fibre Vinyl Image above shows 3M vinyl on the left compared with the Metallic Foil vinyl on the right. Until 3M launched their stunning new Carbon Fibre vinyl recently there were two types of Carbon Fibre effect vinyl available. Printed Carbon Fibre Effect Vinyl – This is made by simply printing grey squares onto black vinyl which isn’t fooling anybody. It is cheap to buy and looks so poor when fitted we won’t even supply it. Metallic Foil Carbon Fibre Effect Vinyl – This vinyl features a 2x2 weave carbon fibre effect and is quite realistic. It has a high gloss finish so it looks like the carbon has been lacquered. It is ideal for flat surfaces but has a major flaw – you cannot wrap it around curves, not even slightly. Imagine trying to wrap a sheet of tin foil round a football without crushing and crinkling it. It just can’t be done. Whilst both of these have their uses if you are looking to achieve the perfect look or need to wrap the vinyl around curves the 3M vinyl is the only choice. Essential Information Easy fitting with special 3M technology that allows you to remove wrinkles while fitting simply by heating the vinyl. ![]() Photo of 3M Di-Noc Carbon Fibre Vinyl suitable for wrapping car body panels, car roof, wing mirrors etc. Remember the 40% offer is only available through February 2010.
