Our vinyl has a minimum outdoor life expectancy of 4 years in most environments when cared for properly with typical life being 5 or more years. The most likely thing to impact on the life of your graphics is exposure to UV light from the sun and our range of vinyl has UV protection filters in the substrate.
Specialty vinyls including chrome, holographic and reflective usually have lower life expectancy. This should not stop you enjoying the additional effect they will have on your vehicle so please ask about your intended use of the specialty vinyl and we can advise on the suitability.
No. Washing your car or bike carefully will not remove your decals. Care should be taken to avoid scratching or lifting the edges when you wash your vehicle.
We do not recommend using a car wash or pressure washer once your decals have been applied as this can reduce the lifespan of the product.
Vinyl will stick to any smooth, clean surface including glass, plastic and metal.
Vinyl is easiest to work with when the temperature is between 10 and 15 degrees centigrade. It is best to avoid direct sunlight when applying vinyl as this tends to make the it stretch and the adhesive is more active so it will stick very firmly which reduces your ability to correct any errors in placing the vinyl.
Yes. You can wax over your vinyl decals by hand gently. However you must be very careful not to push the wax under the decal as this will cause them to lift.
Use of an electric buffer is not recommended and is likely to damage your decals.
Decals are generally ok with window wipers running over them. Use common sense when applying them and you should be fine. If in doubt, ask. Before you apply them!
Remember your car may not pass its MOT if your decals could be judged by the tester to obstruct driver vision.
No. Your decals can be removed if you want to change the design or if you are putting your car back to standard to sell it.
Decals made from our standard gloss vinyl are guaranteed to be suitable for their application for 12 months.
No. If you try to remove your decals the vinyl will stretch and tear.
No. As long as you take care when removing the decal and don’t get over keen with any tools you are using to help your decals can be removed safely.
At this time we do not have a brochure to post or email you. We do have datasheets for some products which are available by email. If you see us at a show we will have printed brochures for you to look through and some retail outlets who stock our products have printed brochures. If you are looking for a decal but don’t see it on our website email us and we will be happy to advise if we can supply it for you.
Using a squeegee try to gently move the bubble towards the outside edge of the decal. If it refuses to move, use a sharp needle or pin to gently pierce it and press the air or liquid out. The hole will not be visible once you press the vinyl back down.
We recommend you wait at least 48 hours to let the adhesive take hold and longer if the outside temperature is low.
You could, but we would recommend you hold back for two weeks until the paint has had time to cure properly. To be sure we suggest you consult your bodyshop for more information.
No. You will still be able to de-frost/de-mist the rear window with decals applied.

Are there any special ways I should care for my decals?
Be gentle with your decals and clean and dry your car/bike by hand to ensure they are not damaged unnecessarily.
Quite possibly. If we need to redraw your artwork so that it is in vector format suitable for sending to a vinyl cutter there will be a charge. Quotes can be provided once you send us your artwork.
Sure. We accept scanned drawings and computer generated images. You can email them to enquiries@undergroundgraphics.com or see our contact page to post them to us.
No. You can choose any colour from our range. Also, we can customize any design to your exact specification by changing size, proportions, adding drop shadows or outlines. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Yes. There are two ways this can be achieved. The first is by placing the different colours on top of each other to make up the final design. The second is to have your decals full colour printed onto white vinyl. Please contact us to find out which method best suits your requirements.
All of our decals are supplied in the individual pieces which make up your design so if you order a decal which has two colours each will be on a separate sheet. Application tape is fitted to all decals [with the exception of sunstrips and some viper stripes] so you can apply them easily.
Yes. All our graphics are supplied for external fitment as standard so be sure to select ‘for inside application’ when ordering. This will let us know to reverse your decal so it can be read from the outside.

Yes. The vinyl we use is also used for outdoor signs and commercial vehicles. It will not be affected by rain, hail, snow or extreme temperatures.
For some products we require a bit of additional information in order to supply it exactly as you require. For example, if you order a set of 'For Sale' stickers we need to know the telephone numbers you want included and possibly the price of your car.
To tell us this you must add the product to your basket and go to the checkout. This is a 4 stage process during which we collect your details. At Stage 4 we provide an 'Additional Information' box for you to give us the necessary details to make your stickers.
If you do not provide the full information we require to complete your order it will be delayed until you have been contacted to provide the missing details.
Yes. As long as the decal is applied to the outside of the window (your tint film will be on the inside). All our decals are supplied as outside fitment as standard although you can request them to be made for reverse fitment..
Yes, as long as you do comply with MOT regulations and you do not use them to impersonate an emergency services vehicle.

Within 7 days of receipt of your order, you may return any merchandise in its original condition and unopened packaging for a full refund or exchange - whichever you prefer.
Please note that we will refund the shipping cost only in cases where you have to return an item as a result of a mistake on our part.
In cases where we have supplied decals specifically customised to your specification no refund will be given except in the unlikely event of a manufacturing error.

We don't give sizes for the height of our decals but it is always in proportion to the width of the logo or design. If you have specific dimensions your decal must fit within please contact us prior to ordering and we will ensure your decals are made to your exact requirements.
If you are ordering a replica kit for a specific car like the Subaru Impreza WRC Graphics it is supplied full size for a perfect fit. If you are ordering a generic kit such as flames or a tribal design we always contact you prior to making your side graphics to confirm the sizes you require. If you already know the length you require please enter this in the Additional Information box on Step 4 of the order process.
